Deliveries and suppressions
Deliveries is the log of every email Wakio has been asked to send for your account, including the ones that never went out. Suppressed is the list of addresses Wakio will not send to. Between them you can answer "did that email arrive?" and "why did that person get nothing?".
Deliveries

- Filter by status. It is the only filter Deliveries has.
- A suppressed message names the reason it was not sent.
- A failed message says what went wrong on Wakio's side.
- An accepted message has been handed over and is waiting for confirmation.
Every message appears here, whatever started it. The Source column says which:
- Transactional: an email your own app sent through the API, such as a receipt or a password reset.
- Campaign: an email from a campaign.
- Campaign test: a test send from a campaign's composer.
- Flow: an email from a flow.
- Flow test: a test send from a flow.
Status is the only filter. There is no search, and no filter by source, campaign or date. Messages are listed newest first by when they were created, 50 to a page, and Older takes you further back. To come forward again, use your browser's Back button.
Each row shows the subject as you wrote it, so a merge tag appears as typed rather than as the recipient saw it. The Accepted column shows when the sending service took the message. It reads Not sent for a message that was never attempted, Not accepted for one the sending service refused, and Not yet for one still waiting.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting to be handed to the sending service. |
| Accepted | The sending service took it. The recipient's mail server has not confirmed it yet. |
| Delivered | The recipient's mail server accepted it. |
| Bounced | The message came back undelivered. This includes temporary bounces, such as a full mailbox, so a bounced message is not always a bad address. Only a permanent bounce adds the address to Suppressed. |
| Complained | The recipient marked it as spam. |
| Failed | The sending service did not take it, or rejected it afterward. The row names the reason. |
| Suppressed | The address is on your suppressed list, so nothing was attempted. |
| Canceled | It was part of a campaign you canceled before this message went out. |
A message that is bounced, complained or failed stays that way. A delivered message can still change to bounced or complained if a report arrives later.
A delivery's page
Choose a recipient's address in the list to open that message.

- Why it did not arrive. For a bounce, this quotes the reason the recipient's mail server gave.
- Everything that happened to the message, in order, to the second.
- The message ID, and the idempotency key if your app sent one. Both are handy to quote to support.
- The message is shown as plain text, as it was sent. Wakio does not show the designed version of the email here. If nothing was stored, the page says so.
- The timeline lists each event with its time: handed to the sending service, delivered, bounced, marked as spam, rejected, and for tracked mail each open and click. A suppressed message has no timeline because nothing was attempted.
- The identifiers are the message ID the sending service gave it and the idempotency key, a code your app can attach so a repeated request does not send twice. Each reads "Not assigned" or "None" when there is not one.
A failed message shows one of these reasons, on its row and at the top of its page:
| Reason | What it means |
|---|---|
| Account suspended | Your account was suspended when the message was due to go out. |
| No active subscription | Your account had no active plan when the message was due to go out. |
| Domain not ready to send | The domain you send from was not ready to send. See Sending domains. |
| Interrupted while sending | Sending was interrupted while the message was being handed over, so Wakio cannot say whether it left. |
| Sending service error | The sending service returned an error and the message was not sent. |
| Sending limit reached, not delivered | Sending was held back by a limit for too long, so the message was given up on. |
Suppressed
The Suppressed page lists every address Wakio will not send to for your account, with the reason and the date it was added.

- A permanent bounce: the mailbox does not exist.
- The recipient reported the message as spam.
- The recipient unsubscribed.
An address lands here on its own in one of these ways. What it stops depends on the reason:
| How it gets here | Reason shown | What it blocks |
|---|---|---|
| A message to it bounced permanently. | Mailbox does not exist | Every email, including the ones your app sends. |
| A recipient reported a message as spam. | Marked as spam | Every email, including the ones your app sends. |
| A recipient used the unsubscribe link. | Unsubscribed | Campaigns and flows. Email your app sends, such as a receipt or a password reset, still goes out. |
| An import brought across a Mailchimp member who had unsubscribed. | Unsubscribed | Campaigns and flows. Email your app sends, such as a receipt or a password reset, still goes out. |
| An import brought across a Mailchimp member who was cleaned. | Mailbox does not exist | Every email, including the ones your app sends. |
The list can also show two reasons that Wakio never adds on its own:
| Reason shown | What it means | What it blocks |
|---|---|---|
| Added by your team | Your team asked Wakio to stop mailing the address. | Campaigns and flows. Email your app sends, such as a receipt or a password reset, still goes out. |
| Address not valid | The address is not valid, so no email can reach it. | Every email, including the ones your app sends. |
A reason only gets stronger. If someone who unsubscribed later bounces or reports a message as spam, their reason changes to that one and the address stops receiving transactional email too. A stronger reason is never softened, and the Since date stays the day the address was first added. Addresses match regardless of capital letters.
The list belongs to your account alone. Another account's bounce never affects your sending, and yours never affects theirs.
You cannot remove an address yourself. The sending service keeps its own copy of this list, so clearing an address in Wakio would not be enough to make delivery work again. Email [email protected] and ask for it to be lifted.
An address marked Unsubscribed or Added by your team does leave the list on its own when the person signs up again through a subscribe form and confirms.
When something is sent to a suppressed address, Wakio records it as a Suppressed delivery with the reason, so you can see what was held back. Its page links straight to this list.
Good to know
- Everyone on your team sees both pages, whatever their role. Nobody can change anything from them.
- Test sends show up in Deliveries too, marked Campaign test or Flow test.
- Bounced is not the same as suppressed. A temporary bounce leaves the address off the list, and Wakio will try it again on your next send.
